Cantilever Elevator
A cantilever elevator is a type of home or small commercial lift where the cabin is supported from one side only—similar to a cantilever beam—rather than being supported symmetrically on both sides. This design allows installation in narrow spaces, glass shafts, or open panoramic structures. The car sling, guide rails, and drive system (traction, screw-drive, or hydraulic) are placed on one side, transmitting load through the cantilevered frame instead of the center of the shaft.
